How much does a mold inspection cost?
Our mold inspection & testing pricing: Starting at $550– based on sq. ft. This includes two lab samples and a full written report.
How long does an inspection take?
Most inspections take 2 to 6 hours on site, depending on the size of the property.
How long until I get my results?
Written reports are typically delivered within 1–2 business days once lab results are back.
Do at-home mold test kits work?
At-home kits are prone to false positives and can't rule out hidden moisture sources the way a professional inspection with moisture mapping and lab-verified sampling can.
Do you test indoor air quality, not just mold?
Yes — our IAQ Assessment covers VOCs, particulates, humidity, and HVAC/ventilation performance.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — we hold a Texas TDLR Mold Assessment Consultant license (MAC #MAC2301) and carry professional liability insurance.
Is your lab independent?
Yes — samples are analyzed by an accredited third-party laboratory with no affiliation to Healthy Home Dallas.
Can mold hide where I can't see it?
Yes — behind walls, under flooring, and inside HVAC systems. That's why moisture mapping and thermal imaging are part of every inspection.
I'm buying a home — should I get a mold inspection?
It's a smart addition to a standard home inspection, especially if there's any history of water intrusion, a musty odor, or the home has sat vacant.
How do I choose a mold inspector?
Look for TDLR licensing, , an accredited independent lab, and transparent pricing.
